These are held throughout the year in different parts of the country to enable students to extend their training without having to travel too far. Students of all levels of experience are welcome to come to one or both days to –
- Use the extended time available to progress with their practice – without time pressure you can relax putting your body and mind in the best mode for learning.
- Receive teaching and guidance from the Technical Director or one of the TAO’s highly skilled Senior Instructors.
- Have the opportunity to train with students from other clubs, developing your skills together and making new friends.
Some courses are an in depth study of parts of the Li system you may not have experienced. Recent themed courses have included K’ai Men for better Form and Push Hands, The Practice of Tao Yin,Weapons and Chi Shu. Other courses are designed to help local students progress with their T’ai Chi and Feng Shou.

Training is from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. In some locations there is a 2 hour session on the Friday evening. Liquid refreshments are supplied for morning and afternoon breaks and lunchtime but you should bring a packed lunch.
As a member you receive substantial reductions on training fees; there are also concessionary rates available and discounts for early booking.
Easter School
At the end of winter, why not give yourself a boost. Spend 3 days training with our Technical Director Tony Swanson, TAO Instructors and students of all levels from the UK, France and Germany.
The course is residential, in the beautiful Bloxham School, near Banbury and is fully catered with 3 cooked meals a day. Catering for vegetarians and those with special dietary needs is always available. The accommodation is in the school so you do not have to leave the grounds – book early if you want a single room!
With everything provided for you, you are free to relax and concentrate on the top class training provided by the Technical Director.
Summer School
This is for many, the high point of the training year. Students and Instructors from France and Germany join us in the UK for 5 full days of training.
The Technical Director never fails to provide new insights to help us progress our knowledge of the Arts and deepen our understanding of its principles. With many Instructors on hand to help there is a wealth of experience on hand to guide each student.

This course is residential but there are camping facilities nearby. All meals and drinks are supplied. Members train together, relax together and share this very special experience.
